11/12/07 Support is gathering for the protest planned on Saturday 15 December at oil refiineries around the country.  All groups under the Transaction 2007  umbrella are reporting the same sort of enthusiasm from people in all walks of life.  The message must surely now be reaching government that fuel taxation must now to be addressed once again  to avoid the scenes  we saw in 2000.

This issue affects all aspects of life today, increased food prices,  transport costs to name but two.  The motoring public are paying this tax twice, once on their fuel and again on their food etc.,  Our government must  understand people can only be pushed so far and the politicians  are there to listen to the voting puplic and act accordingly.

Saturday's planned protest hopefully will delivery this message.  Further updates can be got off www.transaction-2007.com website.

10/12/07 Fuel Protest Action imminent

Following a meeting of farmer and haulage organisations together with general motoring groups last Thursday in Staffordshire, it was  decided that all these groups under the  umbrella of Transaction 2007 will commence protest on the high cost of fuel on Saturday 15 December 2007 at 10 am at an oil refinery near you.  For up to date details visit www.transaction-2007.com this will be the communication site for all information in the run up to protest.  FFA members are advised to contact the office for details or their local co-ordinator.  This will be a totally peaceful protest and absolutely non-confrontational.

Let us hope that government takes notice.
